Countdown to....

Hello to you all.
Since Karen has this great Blog Candy with a Christmas Theme, I just wanted to make a christmas card.
This time I wanted to play with Sweet Annie, she hasn`t been played with for a long time.
So this is kind of a countdown card for christmas time. I also wanted to try to make a banner, this is my attempt.

Wish you all a great week.
Hugs Gunn :-)

Wednesday Freebie - Perfectly Defined #2

Hiya gang, tis me, Karen, back with another Perfectly Defined freebie for you. Have you used your 'cherish' freebie from last week? We would love to see what you make so don't forget to leave a link when you have grabbed the freebies.

You should be beavering away at your Christmas cards by now, don't you know there is only 79 sleeps left??? To make sure you don't loose track of time we have added a little countdown gadget at the bottom of the page -no excuse now! :-) So... have you guessed that this weeks word is CHRISTMAS? Yep, this should help make those cards, and also aid your creations of the layouts after the big day, when you will be showcasing all the pictures from the holiday season.

You will be getting this one in several versions again, so whatever your background or need we have it covered.

I used the fancy white on red version for my card here.

This card is incredibly economical as the Perfectly Defined download and our sleeping Pixie from the Charming Christmas bundle make up the bulk of the card. It was super quick too as I used the ready-coloured Pixie and just went over the image with my Copics to ensure the richness and depth of colour.

Have you got any words you would like to see here? Let us know by leaving a comment (no rude ones please LOL).

We hope you enjoy this free download.

Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening, depending on when you pop in to visit us; Karen here! Tis Sunday and time for your weekly crafty challenge. It's my turn to set the challenge and you know how I like to be awkward, hehehe, so here it is: the challenge this time is......

CHRISTMAS! Yes really! The weather is getting warmer but lets not forget that cosy feeling we only get at Christmas. It's never too early to start preparing for the big day so this time I want to see a Christmas project, what you do is up to you as long as you include a Charmed download.

Anyway, I love Christmas so any excuse says I. But - awkward I may be but I am sure you also know how I love to give you something, and I am giving a prize of Christmas goodies (of course) to one lucky winner. All you have to do to be in with a chance is to enter the challenge, simple.

As usual the design team has been super busy creating for you. Click on the names of the designers to visit their blogs and find out more about each project.

Dottie in bulk!

Running out of time I decided to make a few similar cards to cut down on time dithering over design and paper and colours!!! Only problem was by the time I had almost finished cutting around my 4th image my poor fingers were so sore trying to cut out all the little nooks and crannys with my craft knife. Got there in the end and quite pleased with the outcome...and another few cards off my to do list!!!

This image of Dottie and her snowman from the Christmas Bundle is one of my favs, I love using a glittery gel pen to add detail and some glossy accents for some seriously shiney wellies.

A little bit of sparkle!

With the kiddies off having been off sick, a little bit of crafting time is so precious and so needed to keep a little sanity intack! I took time out to put a bit of sparkle into my crafting with a dash of glittler glue for some frosty little snowflakes.

One card made for the teachers....7 more to go!!

I used Ice Skating Dottie and one of the circular sentiments from the Christmas Download Bundle

That Friday feeling!

It's Friday once more and at this time of year the weeks seem to go quicker than ever. I know so many of us are pushed for time and dashing around to cram even more into our already hectic "crafty lives!"

I can only apologise for a half hearted effort to show you as my card is sitting still in pieces on my desk waiting 'til later for me to finish. I will update with a final picture after a class assembly this morning!

I have used a download from the Christmas Collection with my Prismacolor pencils. A sneak peak!!! (complete with wet glossy accents!!!) LOL

That Friday Feeling!

Happy Friday everyone-it's my turn to waffle again! My crafting time has been non-existent again this week so I will keep it short & sweet!

Inspired by Louise and her fabby flowers, I have dug deep into my cupboards in search of some of my all time favourite felt- a deep red marl! I used it for one simple little flower together with one of my fav ribbons - black & white gingham. I love the colour combination.

I used Christmas Pudding Dottie from the Christmas Download Collection! She is great to colour and sprinkle with glitter and a dusting of Glossy Accents.

Maddy's Magic!

Good morning campers, Louise here!
My oh my do I have a treat for you today. I was a bit naughty on Saturday; when our fantabulous guest designer Maddy Hill emailed me this project to forward to Nicola for the challenge I kind of...er.... hijacked it (sorry Nicola)! Well! it just had to have a post all of it's own, I think you'll agree.
As you'll know, the challenge from Nicola this week is ''Fur or Feather". Maddy, famous for her imagination as well as her amazing talent went for "hair of the dog" in "The Ultimate Christmas Rescue Kit", brace yourself, this is so funny........

I bet you're impressed already aren't you? Maddy has altered a Daz soap box for this project, I'm loving the spotty red paper. I love the label; "From Ruff to Glamour Puss" I could do with one off these kits now, never mind after Christmas!
It just gets better! Look at all those delightful goodies!

Here's the low down, I love the disclaimer.....
This girl has such a sense of humour!
I'm bowled over by the detail in this project, just look at those eye lashes!. and the dog breath mints! ROFL

Here's a close up, Lady Pusskins is giving away all her beauty tips.

Didn't I tell you you were in for a treat?
Thank you Maddy for giving us some more inspiration and a right good larf!
Pop by tomorrow fo even more mid week mojo! We're spoiling you aren't we!

Merry Christmas

As I had major problem with my internet connection, I unfortunately missed sending my challenge to the lovely Adele, sorry :@, this is the card I made for

Black & White & Colour.

My colour was Gold. I used A CHARITY- OCTAGONAL FRAME from Helping Hands Templates,I stitched strips of beads and black thread around the edge and then used rub off's for the greeting around the Angel which is from the Christmas Bundle, adding gold to her halo, wings, gown and belt. This 'card' has a stand or a wall mount so would make a wonderful Christmas decoration

Sunday Challenge - Dottie goes Geometric!

Hi everyone, I hope your Sunday is treating you all well. I cannot believe how quickly time has passed and that it's my turn to challenge you again! So here it is!
When I first told my son that I was on the Dottie Design Team, he asked loads of questions about what I needed to do. You can now blame Jack for this week's challenge as this was all his idea...but I have stretched it a little.

Dottie goes Geometric!

Jack suggested that I made a card using triangles but I am going to open up the possibilites and ask you to make creations with bold geometric shapes. This could simply be part of some patterned papers or a fancy shaped card...the choice is yours BUT I want to see some geometric shapes as a main part of your work....no cheating and telling me the brad is a circle! Don't forget it must have a Charmed download somewhere too!
The design team have worked wonders go over to their individual blogs to take a closer look and get more detail of their stunning creations.

I cannot wait to see what you all come up with!

A HUGE thank you to Tracey for your work with us a Guest Designer - your work is stunning!

Louise here, just popping on to add a little something; WE NEED A NEW GUEST DESIGNER! The guest designer stays with us for two weeks and just needs to make one (or more) example creations. So like last time we're going to choose someone who enters this challenge, but in order to give the new GD a chance to make next week's card you need to enter the challenge in the usual way (you don't need to email me) before Wednesday evening. Everyone else has until next sunday as usual.

At home for Christmas with Dottie

Welcome to Dottie's at Christmas!!
This card is only a5 in size(a4 in half) I imported the images to word from The Christmas Collection of Downloads of course from Charmed Cards, checkout the blinkie, takes you straight to them. I reduced the size to almost stamps size to get the scale right for the house.
I used a dolls house template from Helping Hands Template

The roof lifts up to reveal the upper floor or Attic, I put the lil dots up there in their own bedroom, these are from the Love and marriage Collection of downloads, also the wedding picture downstairs is too.
I added fencing, cut to a smaller size and covered the house with snow writer,I love this stuff!!
I whipped up the bedrooms furniture out of brown paper and watercolour pens
The front sections open up to reveal the downstairs. The only things not from the Dottie downloads are the fireplace,in the left window & the poinsettia plant inside on the right window.

Nativity Scene

It's Christmas!!!.......
Well not exactly, but feeling quite festive today lol! Must be the weather and all my Christmas cards are well underway, which is astounding for me!!
I made this Card using a Shed template from Helping Hands. I used a snow writer for the snow, looks a bit like a gingerbread house, hmmm should have used icing! Inside I used the Nativity image from the Christmas Collection, available ofcourse from Charmed Cards and Crafts
I used a holly punch for the holly, adding it to the inside of the shed. This has a card attached to the back for the greeting,so is free standing.
