Rich.........

Hi every one, Im trying to get back into the routine, have managed this week so far!!
I thought I would follow on from Louises challenge of a shaped card...
I ued the idea from Making cards magazine and the backing paper also.
This is a strip of card which is scored and cut, then folded to make the shape and fits nicely into an ordinary c6 envelope.
I used the image from 'Holly and Madison' and coloured using my Whispers watercolour pens, the sentiment is taken from 'Girls about town' download.

I layered with pearl glitter card, yes we are again all wearing glitter, including the dog!.
Dont forget to join in and get the chance of a wonderful prize.

A stitch in time!

Hello everyone, hope you are having a nice, relaxing Sunday.
It's my turn again to set the challenge and you may know how much I like texture on my cards. This week I want to see stitching, hand or machine - but REAL stitching, no faux stitching like I am so fond of in my work! You must of course use one of more of the many, wonderful Charmed Downloads but the rest is up to you.

Here are some examples of what the Design Team have come up with to help you on your way.

Karen

Don't forget to pop back and share your creations, we love to see them!

Boxing day banter!

Well are you all rested, hungover, stressed or just bloated from all the turkey? I am just about to start another "Christmas Day" with Chris's family....thank goodness we are having lamb!

Well not a lot to show you I am afraid, with all the festivities going on crafting time has been rather scarce. I did however print out 4 copies of "Juliet" as soon as I saw her when the Girls about Town collection was released. I have been such a good girl and sat and made a card order I have just got...to be ready by APRIL!!! LOL..yes a new Dingle, super organised and efficient! Hmmm...I think not so I'll make the most of it while I can!

Monday Mojo - Gift Card

Hello campers, Karen here :o) All ready for Christmas? Presents packed and stacked neatly underneath a wonderfully dressed Christmas tree? House gleaming from top to bottom? Fridge and cupboards bulging at the seams with Christmas fare? Aprons all ironed and the silver polished? I thought not! Ha ha ha. Me neither, but we have another couple of days anyway so what's the rush, right? ;o)

The new Girls About Town collection lends itself to some gorgeous ideas, here are just a couple.

If you have forgotten to get someone a gift then why not try this idea. I have used it as a birthday gift here (as I needed to) but you can of course quite easily change it to Christmas. Instead of a second shop you could add a Christmas tree for example. Similarly you can substitute the coffee mug holding the money for a present box, or a handbag etc, the possibilities are endless.

I cut a pocket in the mug at the top and attached a piece of heavy cardstock at the rear to make a solid pocket at the back.
The picture below shows the slit at the top

I attached a length of rick rack ribbon to the inside of the card at the top to emulate the scallops found on some shop canopies. A good idea would also be to cut along the bottom of the canopy itself on a larger shop image and slide the rick rack below the edge to achieve the same effect.

To finish this Monday's Mojo post here is another card for inspiration.

Have a great day xxx

New Collection!

Just in case you didn't read yesterday's post... we have a brand spanking new collection; GIRL ABOUT TOWN and it's completely different! You can read the post below for more detail, there's no point in repeating it all, especially as I'm dying to show you my first ever Girl about town creation!

Here goes....

The images used are Coffee Time with the Cafe Facade background, along with one of the sentiments. I went for the pre-coloured option but as they don't always print out quite as crisp as they appear on screen I tend to add a few highlights with with pencils, or shaded areas with Whispers markers, it just brings the images too life a bit.

I can't wait to see what you all come up with with the new collection.

Have a lovely weekend.
