More Talented Children

From time to time we get pictures sent to us of creations made by customer's talented children. It's been some time since I showed you any so I thought it was about time that I did!

First of all we have this gorgeous girly card by Amy aged 13. I love how she's coloured Holly to blend perfectly with her choice of backing papers. I think her mum Susan has some competition in the house! Well done Amy and thank you for showing us.

Next up we have have a gorgeous Pixie card by the daughter of one of our past guest designers - Kim. Kim's crafty daughter Alex has got her hands on mums Pixie collection, but just look at what she's made.....

I think mum will let her off don't you? Alex is one talented 11 year old, another crafter following in her mother's footsteps. I love how she has seated daisy on the flourish - beautiful!

Thank you ladies for sharing your creations with us. If any of you peeps reading this have children that have made things using the Charmed downloads please email them in to us, we'd love to show them off.

Oh La La!

Good Morning Folks, Louise here!
How are you all this fine day? I only have one week left at work and then I have seven weeks off....7 WEEKS!! how good is that?
On to the challenge.....

The 14th of July marks the French public holiday of Bastille Day so to join the French in their celebrations I would like us to make something with a French feel. It could be the image, it could be a french sentiment or it could just make you say Oh La La! It might even be just in the colours of the French flag (red, white and blue), it's up to you! Just have fun! Oh and don't forget to use one of the Charmed downloads!
Look at all the inspiration wee have for you this week....

June in July!

Well folks today we have a special treat from our guest designer June (for July! LOL) I want to know where she gets all her mojo from because there's just no stopping her! Get ready to drool....

I love the soft feel to this card, I think it would be just perfect to give to a little girl, do you see that feather? great touch eh!

Here we have Thistle, I love the layout of this card and that beautiful violet string of flowers is just perfect!
Here we have Dreamer again, I love how June has rested Dreamer on the red feather, it looks like a big fluffy red pillow. I must get myself some more feathers - I'm inspired by these cards - big time!
June thank you so much for letting me show of your stunning creations here on Dottie's World ♥.

For more details and bucket loads of inspiration please pay a visit to June's blog.

The images on these cards are from the Pixie Chicks downoad collections, they're such a great purchase because you don't have to wait for the postie, they could be coming out of your printer today!

Blooming Beautiful!

Hello folks, Louise here.

This week's challenge is brought to you by me but it was actually thought up by Juliet some time ago. Here's what she said...

"The summer bedding is looking so beautiful at the moment, so this week I would like you to look to your garden (or someone else's garden) for inspiration, be it using flowers on your card, using colours from your garden or it could be some garden wildlife or bug! As usual, use a Charmed download and let your imagination run riot."

Well the DT have pulled out all the stops for this one, take a look!

June -guest designer with two cards! (she's spoiling us)

Has that inspired you? I bet it has. You have until next Sunday to take part in this challenge. Please leave us a comment here so we know to come and visit you.

Have a lovely day

Spot the Difference

I decided to have a another little play around with 'Dreamer' from Bundle one, this time I flipped her Horizontally in Photoshop Elements so that she was laying in the Opposite direction.
You can do this in any photo imaging software programme doesn't have to just be Elements, you can even do this in Word also just right click on your image and then rotate it 180 degrees Sorry peeps you don't rotate it 180 degrees you actually do flip it in word too and Voila she's flipped round..:).
I hope you like what I did with her I think she looks rather nice whichever way she sleeps:).. but then she is my favourite :).
Thanks for taking a look more detail about both of these are on my blog if anyone fancies taking a look.
Hugs
Sheila xx
EDITED after posting.. I have got a short step by step picture tutorial if anyone is interested in how to flip her word... I don't mind posting that on my next day on the blog.. just let me know :)

Desktop background

Hello from Gunn
This week I done some christmas card for a forum I am joining. But ofcourse the pictures are on my other computer.

But I have a minipc from Aspire- got it from my hubby and kids as a christmas present. I call it Gunns small pink toy. And I like to play with photos and so on.
Well, my desktop was kind of boring so I deceided to make my own background.
I used a paper from the e-floral kid from Making handmade cards. That was the only one suited I had on this computer. Then I used a picture I took in a photoclass I was joining this june, I blended it with the floral paper and I deceided to use Holly with her flowers and garden outfit.
I am happy with my new desktop background. It was some minute of fun to make. On my litle minipc I don`t have a big photoshop program or anything like that. I use AcdSee photo editor 2009 and it works fine.

Well, her is my desktop background

This is digistamp and I used Holly precolored, and this is the fun with these stamps. You can print them in black or precolored or you can play on your computer with them.

Wishing you all nice summerdays and lots of fun. Enjoy life- and remember to be in the moment.
