Sunday Challenge

Good Morning all, Louise here.

Before I begin I'd like to thank all of you who join in with our challenges and visit the blog, without you it would be awfully quiet and uninteresting around here.

Are you sitting down? Good because this week it's a toughie! At first glance you may not think so but wait until you try it.....

I want you to dig out those papers that you assigned to the 'never to be used' pile and get crafting with them. You know the ones I mean, you buy a set of beautiful papers but there's always one that you know you'll never use, well today, it's all going to change.

So, use at least one of your neglected papers as the main element of your project and any of the Charmed Downloads, and remember.........BE HONEST!

To reward you for your hard work on this toughie I'm giving away my first featured project (Hippy notebook) as a prize to one of you, it'll either be for my favourite project or (if I can't choose!) a name picked out of a hat.

Louise

I used two CDs to make the covers for this one. I covered them with one of my long neglected papers - which I didn't like because I thought the pattern was too big for cards, then made it into a note book with my bind it all. I cut the holes for the eyelets with my Big Bite. The image is Hippy George from the Rock 'til You Drop collection.

Juliet
Look at this beauty that Juliet came up with for us! I just love those apples. I can see why Juliet might have found these papers a little tricky in the past but don't they just look fantastic together! I'd buy them! Juliet said; The background paper was from the bottom of a very large pile of 'unlikely to be used' papers, the others are K&Co Berry Sweet speciality from Charmed. Back to school Dottie coloured with prismacolour pencils. 'Little Miss Sunshine' sentiment Cosmo Cricket Hello Sunshine, also from Charmed.

I thought we needed some sunshine with this flippin' awful weather!

Louise

This is another paper that I loved when I saw it on the screen but when it came I realised the pattern might be a bit too big for cards, I guess I was wrong ay? The butterflies were cut on my silhhouette.

Nicola

Groovy Man!! I can see why Nicola might have struggled with this paper in the past but I think it was made for this card! It screams hippy doesn't it? I love this card and the sentiment is just perfect. Look at all those little flowers around the card FLOWER POWER!

Louise

And finally, a third one from me (I've been a busy bee this week) I downloaded this bag template for my Silhouette (digital craft cutter) and I love it, I can see some more gift bags on the horizon from me, The paper is from my favourite ever collection of papers K&Co Mira but it was the one paper that I'd never used, I think it was the colour I didn't like but I think I really like it now I've used it. The image is from the Cat collection.

So, I hope these have inspired you to have a go, go on be a devil!

Don't forget to leave us a comment with a link to your blog so we can come and visit you.

Happy crafting!

WOW! What a fantastic prize - wish I could win it, lol :-) ...and fantastic examples from Lou and Nicola. Just shows, it may not be easy, but we can use ALL our papers with a bit of effort. Looking forward to seeing everyone's creations. Juliet xxx

Your creations ladies are just amazing. Nicola, that's the same paper I used on my hippie Anniversary card, but I used different colours!!! It sure does go well with them doesn't it? LOL

I know I have some papers I've put to the back, so will have a dig around this week and see what I come up with.

Thanks for the challenging challenge Lou xxx

Ha! Was gonna chuck that paper last week when it didn't work out with Hippy Dottie! Glad I kept it for one more week! LOL! Hippy George is on my blog!

Lou - that was quite cruel! I have papers I love so much I don't want to use them, but that's quite a different thing than not knowing what to do with it!
Have a happy day!
