Sunday Challenge - Dottie goes Geometric!
Jack suggested that I made a card using triangles but I am going to open up the possibilites and ask you to make creations with bold geometric shapes. This could simply be part of some patterned papers or a fancy shaped card...the choice is yours BUT I want to see some geometric shapes as a main part of your work....no cheating and telling me the brad is a circle! Don't forget it must have a Charmed download somewhere too!

I cannot wait to see what you all come up with!

BLISS!
This card is using one of the images from the new Cat collections, from Charmed Cards and Crafts(ofcourse!)
I printed the Cats off on word and adjusted the size, once on white paper and once on the mint polka dot paper & mint striped card. I embossed the white paper with Divine Swirls Cuttlebug folder(folders are available from Charmed Cards and Crafts too!), then cut whole cat image out of the polka dot paper, adding to the embossed layer and paper pieced the kittens and hearts using the striped paper,hi-lighting the cat and kittens collars with Sakura Gelly roll pen. I love the fresh feel the mint and white gives the card.

Mini Prisma Tutorial

First draw a thick outline around the inside of your image with your chosen pencil.
Then, using a blending stump (this is a pencil shaped tight coil of paper) dipped in Sansador (an artist's low odour spirit) rub the coloured outline in small circular movements, moving gradually towards the centre of the image. This will achieve a subtle blended effect.
That's basically all there is to it. Once you've had plenty of practise you'll discover lots of new techniques.
This is the card I made with the finished picture.
I used some free papers that i got in a magazine ages ago. The cat (as if I need to tell you!) is from the Cat download collection at Charmed Cards and Crafts If you haven't seen it already check out the Cat gallery on there, there's loads of inspiration for you.

Fabric Journal-Cat Collection
Hello, I was so excited when Louise showed me the her new designs in the Cat collection! They immediately gave me the thought of New England, Colonial Quilts and appliqued fabrics!. Which gave me the inspiration for my first Journal .
I made it using a Fabric Iron on transfer,I printed the Silhouette Cat, from the new Cat Collection, available at Charmed Cards and Crafts,on the a4 transfer sheet with my pc printer, then I added the colour by using Watercolour pens and added the stitch detail using a permanent Micron Archival pen,cut it out and ironed it on to the fabric.
Techie bit:- The fabric Transfer sheet, has a chemical reaction with normal printer ink, which are water based,as are the watercolour pens, when you use a Hot dry iron for 20seconds on the transfer it makes it Waterproof and washable.
I used my Cropadile to make the holes in the outside cover and paper inside, adding eyelets & then threaded the matching ribbon to hold it all together. My daughter now proudly takes it everywhere she goes
