Challenge - ANYTHING GOES - RED

Hi crafters, Karen here with another challenge for you. Again it is an "anything goes" challenge, which means you can use ANYTHING, not just one of our downloads. The only stipulation is that we want to see lots of RED! If you do use a Charmed download well then you can enter your name twice in Mr Linky and be in with twice the chance of winning our random draw prize. Please link to your project in Mr Linky.

Did you know that we now stock Magnolia stamps? We are giving one away for this challenge. This Tilda with Fir Tree is a beaut for your Christmas cards (along with our fabulous downloads of course :-)).

The design team will soon start to create examples for the challenges again :-)

This one will run until the end of the month. GOOD LUCK!

Just popping in to say, we're loving all of the entries but PLEASE link to the project not your main page because some of the entries are difficult to find. Keep 'em coming!

Is the snow making you feel Christmassy yet? I have my Christmas tree up already! :D

I made a super speedy Christmas card yesterday...it may have been quick but I think it looks quite good! This is the beauty of the pre-coloured downloads, you can set up a bit of a production line if you have loads of cards to make. Check out my speedy card...

Christmas Ideas

Hello
I just want to give you an Idea how to use the images - the pre colored and the sentiments. This I do in my photoshop elements and save as jpg image. I then copy it to a word document and put two together for the toppers and print out, cut them and use them as this.

.

I have to admitt that this is something I love to do, when I want to give away some candy or cookies.
This is going to be a goodie box filled with cocoa,  chili chocolate, minimarsmellows, small candy canes and some homemade cookies. A christmas presents for those who have everything.....

Hope this inspire you to make use of the pre colored in other ways than a card. Anyway- just have making cards and other projects for christmas. The goodie box is another project and I will post it later  this week.
Hugs Gunn :-)

Storage Tips and Inspiration

Hello Folks, Louise here.
I've been off work poorly and have been feeling a bit sorry for myself so I don't have the usual card inspiration to show you. However! I have been trying to make some plans for my new craft room and I've been surfing the net for some ideas and inspiration. I found this little video that has really inspired me - I must get some of those paper racks - wow!
If you have any craft storage tips please, please, please leave them in a comment to this post. Enjoy!

It's getting closer!

Good morning Folks, Louise here.

Are you enjoying playing with our new downloads (Santa's Little Helpers)? Well Christmas is getting closer so it's time to think of getting started on your Christmas cards if you haven't already.

I've just moved house and all of my craft room was in boxes but I'm happy to say that it is all unpacked now and I have got around to doing a bit of crafting.

There are loads and loads of digi downloads sites around now but I am proud to say that we were amongst the first. I think some of those sites produce fab images but you know what, I think you can tell which images were designed by experienced card makers and which were just designed by good artists, do you agree? I'll explain what I mean; when I am coming up with image ideas, I have in my head an idea of how that image can be used on a card. I like to incorporate elements that will be good for paper piecing or decoupage, also elements that can be enhanced by brads or buttons. In the image used on today's card I knew right from the beginning that the ribbon loop would look great replaced by real ribbon......that is what I mean when I say images designed by card makers work better on cards. OK waffling over, here is my card....

Nice and simple for this one, I think the picture is enough to 'make' the card without too much fuss - also who has time to spend ages on one Christmas card when we have so many to make? I certainly don't!

Here is the close up of that cute ribbon detail....why don't you have a go.

If you would like to view the rest of this digi download set and 1000's of other amazing crafty items besides pop over to Charmed Cards and Crafts.

Just enter a link to your work in Mr Linky below and link to the challenge on your blog - please also mention the candy in your post. :-) Please do not link to old posts, it must be a new post on your blog.
